The Sims Franchise Expands into Board Games with Goliath Games Partnership

The Sims is venturing into the world of tabletop games with its first-ever board game, launching Fall 2025, in partnership with Goliath Games. This collaboration promises a new and captivating way for fans to engage with The Sims in a physical format. Further details will be unveiled at the New York Toy Fair (March 1st-4th).

Celebrating its 25th anniversary, The Sims expands beyond digital realms with a board game designed to capture the essence of the popular life simulation series. Launched in 2000, The Sims has become a highly successful video game franchise, consistently updated and expanded despite the last main installment, The Sims 4, releasing in 2014.

Goliath Games CEO, Jochanan Golad, expressed excitement about the partnership, emphasizing his company's expertise in crafting immersive physical games. He confirmed the board game will offer a unique Sims experience while maintaining core gameplay elements.

Lyndsay Pearson, The Sims' Vice President of Creative Franchise, highlighted the importance of this 25th-anniversary project, commending Goliath Games' ability to create an engaging board game. The Sims Board Game will have global distribution through major retailers, with more information released closer to the release date.

Goliath Games will showcase the game's design and mechanics at the New York Toy Fair. While specifics remain confidential, both companies aim to translate key Sims features—character creation, relationships, and personal growth—into the board game experience. The Sims and board game fans can anticipate this innovative addition to the franchise.
