Wild Rift Patch 6.1 Goes Cosmic in Mid-April

Author : Max May 13,2025

Get ready for an interstellar adventure with the launch of LoL: Wild Rift Patch 6.1: Ascending Stars, set to transform the game later this month. This cosmic update will overhaul everything from the menus to the battlefield, immersing players in the Dual Nova galaxy, featuring the Challenger’s Star and Adventure’s Star.

Three new champions are set to shake up the game with their unique abilities. Ryze, the Rune Mage, will dominate with his area of effect (AoE) damage and his ability to teleport teammates across the map using Realm Warp. Nocturne, the Eternal Nightmare, will thrive in chaos, using Paranoia to plunge enemies into darkness. And Zilean, the Chronokeeper, will control time, slowing down enemies and reviving allies with Chronoshift.

Several champions are also receiving reworks. Garen’s Courage will now scale over time, enhancing his tankiness, while his Judgment ability will shred enemy armor. Ambessa is transitioning from the jungle to the Baron lane, with adjustments to her damage and life steal. Minor updates are also in store for Diana, Fiora, Jax, Sona, and Kalista.

Beyond champion updates, a new Bandle-inspired Rift will spice up non-Ranked modes, introducing Enchanted Gifts that appear through portals during the laning phase. Mages will benefit from long-awaited item updates, including the new Bandle Fantasy item, which adds extra burst damage. Hextech GLP800 will slow enemies with frost bombs, while Malignance will enhance ultimate abilities, making spellcasters even more formidable.

Ranked mode is also getting a refresh with the new season starting alongside the launch of the Challenger’s Star. Expect updates to the Ranked store and new ways to earn seasonal rewards. Midway through the patch, the Adventure’s Star will unlock, bringing AAAARAM—a fresh twist on ARAM with added augments and galactic visuals. The Wild Pass will introduce two stunning skins: Wondertown Twisted Fate and Battlecast Nasus, with Twisted Fate’s look launching an entirely new skinline.

Mark your calendars: LoL: Wild Rift’s version 6.1 patch is scheduled to launch on April 16th. For more details, be sure to visit the official website.
