- A year after its announcement, Baldur's Gate 3 entered early access on Steam, GOG, and Google Stadia. This followed several delays from the initially projected mid-2020 release.
The early access release included the first act, a customizable character, and five playable origin characters: Astarion, Gale, Lae'zel, Shadowheart, and Wyll.
