Splatoon Feature in Nintendo's Summer 2024 Magazine
Splatoon's The Great Big Three-Group Summit
Nintendo's Summer 2024 Magazine, primarily distributed in Japan, dedicated a six-page spread to Splatoon's fictional music groups. The feature brought together:
- Shiver, Big Man, and Frye - the idol group Deep Cut
- Pearl and Marina - the musical duo Off The Hook
- Callie and Marie - the beloved pop pair Squid Sisters
In their joint interview titled The Great Big Three-Group Summit, the artists initially discussed musical collaborations and festival performances before sharing personal anecdotes about their journeys through the Splatoon series.
Callie from Squid Sisters reminisced about Deep Cut giving them an unforgettable tour of Splatlands, the game's quirky distant region. "I hope you appreciated it. We know where the Splatlands shine better than anyone," Shiver responded.
"The breathtaking natural beauty of Scorch Gorge left me speechless!" Callie gushed. "And navigating Hagglefish Market's bustling crowds was exhilarating! The towering skyscrapers completed this truly memorable experience."
While Callie recalled their adventure, Marie playfully teased her bandmate, suggesting Off The Hook should reunite soon. "Callie might get emotional just remembering it," Marie joked, reminding Marina and Pearl about their overdue teatime gathering.
"We haven't met since our tour started," Marina confirmed, proposing they visit Inkopolis Square's newest dessert shop together. Pearl extended the invitation to Frye as well, adding, "You're coming too - we've got unfinished business from our last karaoke battle!"
