Grinding Gear Games (GGG) is set to roll out a substantial update for Path of Exile 2 with version 2.0.1.1, bringing significant enhancements to the game's endgame mapping, leagues, pinnacle content, items, and more. This update, slated for release "later this week," aims to tackle numerous player concerns while continuously refining the overall gameplay experience.
GGG is actively responding to player feedback during Path of Exile 2's early access phase. The game has already seen its first update of 2025, which addressed various issues. Despite a positive reception, Path of Exile 2 continues to face challenges, particularly on the technical front, with bugs and crashes affecting gameplay. GGG's dedication to rapid response, transparent communication, and maintaining the game's development trajectory is evident.
Path of Exile 2's game director, Jonathan Rogers, has detailed the forthcoming changes in update 2.0.1.1. The focus of this patch is on quick fixes that do not necessitate major gameplay alterations. Players can look forward to enhanced endgame mapping, with adjustments to monster counts, chests, and magic encounters to make them more rewarding. The Lost Tower map has been entirely revamped to increase its appeal, and four new tower varieties—namely Alpine Ridge, Sinking Spire, Bluff, and Mesa—will be introduced.
