"Pokemon TCG Pocket Unveils Shining Revelry, Hints at Ranked Matches"

Author : Gabriella May 22,2025

The latest expansion for Pokémon TCG Pocket is here, and it's dazzling with the arrival of shiny variants. The expansion, aptly named Shining Revelry, introduces over 110 new cards, many of which originate from the Paldea region. This addition has me itching to use more of my Pack Hourglasses on a 10-pack pull. My first attempt was a mix of luck and disappointment; while I managed to snag a Charizard EX, the rest of the haul was less exciting. However, pulling a Pokémon Center Lady card brought some solace. Her ability to heal Special Conditions is a valuable asset, especially when dealing with pesky status effects like Burn.

Following the trend of previous expansions, Shining Revelry also introduces an exciting Emblem event. This event lets you earn stylish new badges to show off to your friends. But the real thrill comes with the introduction of Ranked Matches. These matches will pit you against other Trainers as you strive to climb from Beginner to Master Ball Rank. Your progress will be tracked with points, and at the end of the season—lasting approximately one month—you'll be awarded a special emblem. It's time to dust off my dueling skills and start crafting competitive decks.

If you're eager to dive into the fun, you can download Pokémon TCG Pocket for free on the App Store and Google Play, though be aware there are in-app purchases.
