Pokémon Go’s Small Yet Strong event brings your favourite tiny Pokémon to the forefront

Author : Lillian Feb 25,2025

The Pokémon Go "Small Yet Strong" event is almost here! From February 5th to 8th, trainers will have a boosted chance to catch unusually sized Pokémon – XXS and XXL – and encounter the Shiny Nymble for the very first time.

This event offers double XP for catching Pokémon, making it an ideal opportunity to level up quickly. Prepare for increased wild encounters with Paras, Natu, Joltik, and various Burmy forms. Raids will feature Dialga and Enamorus (Incarnate Forme) in Five-Star Raids, and Mega Medicham and Mega Tyranitar in Mega Raids, all with a chance for Shiny variants.

Collectors should focus on 2km Eggs, which will hatch Togepi, Azurill, Budew, and Dedenne. Field Research tasks provide encounters with Burmy and Nymble. Don't miss the event-exclusive Timed Research and Collection Challenge for extra Stardust, Poké Balls, and more event Pokémon encounters. Regional variations of Flabébé (Red, Blue, Yellow, and potentially White or Orange) will also appear.

PokéStop Showcases will highlight event Pokémon, and the in-game store offers supplies to maximize your event experience. This event is a great way to prepare for the upcoming Pokémon Go Tour – Unova. Get ready for some small but mighty Pokémon encounters!
