Stellar Mercenaries has just unleashed its latest upgrade with the Jupiter Expansion, nearly doubling the game's content and taking the battle to the solar system's largest planet. If you're new to the game, Stellar Mercenaries is a thrilling vertical-scrolling action arcade space shooter where you embark on procedurally generated missions, customize your ships and weapons, and aim to become the most feared mercenary in the galaxy.
What's New in the Jupiter Expansion of Stellar Mercenaries?
The Jupiter Expansion transforms Jupiter and its moons—Ganymede, Io, and Europa—into dynamic battlegrounds. Each moon presents unique challenges: Ganymede's barren wastelands, Io's volcanic landscapes, and Europa's icy dangers, while Jupiter itself is fraught with fierce storms.
Two new factions have entered the fray: the Jovian Empire, a formidable military force aiming to control the region, and the chaotic Pirate Council, an alliance of outlaws.
The expansion introduces 50 new missions, ranging from hyperspace hunting to piracy, escort, and train defense missions, offering a variety of new objectives to conquer.
Six new ships have been added to the fleet: Raider, Goblin, Mako, Boxer, Lightning, and Skybreaker. Additionally, the arsenal is expanded with new weapons such as the Hyper Velocity Mortar, Plasma Seeker, EMP Rockets, Mauler Cannon, Electron Beam, and Neutron Beam.
New Hazards, Shields, and More
The update brings Tier 4 shields and armor, along with new hazards like asteroid fields, elite enemy squadrons, and the formidable Pacifier. Some enemy mercenaries have been upgraded, introducing the new Nightmare, Riot, and Warhawk classes.
To enhance the immersive experience, the expansion includes 14 new music tracks and introduces a new side missions system. Don't miss out on all the excitement—check out Stellar Mercenaries on the Google Play Store and dive into the action today!
