Fans of "Star Wars Jedi: Survivor" were thrilled to see new figures included in this latest wave of Star Wars toys. Nightsister Merrin gets a new figure, while Cal Kestis is featured in a three-pack set alongside Turgle and Skoova Stev. Notably, Cal comes with multiple interchangeable heads, including one sporting a handlebar mustache, which was a focal point for this release.
"We really wanted to have fun with this," Jing Houle told IGN. "This is one of my favorite packs that we unveiled. We started with the handlebar mustache and mullet, then added the clean-cut look and the short beard later. The primary look is almost the handlebar, and it's just so much fun."
Given Merrin's importance to the "Fallen Order/Survivor" saga, it was essential for her to be included alongside Cal. The challenge lay in accurately representing her unique Force abilities.
"It's tough to have Cal without Merrin," Chris Reiff explained. "So we're glad we finally got to her, but capturing that Force effect—the green blast, the new costume's details, and the face tattoos with inkjet printing—was a challenge. There's beautiful subtlety in her design. She's a character fans are deeply invested in, and we're excited to expand on her world."
This year's lineup also features two characters familiar to Hasbro fans: Han Solo and Chewbacca. Despite numerous previous releases, Jing Houle believes there's still room for improvement.
"It's been a while since we last updated them," Houle said. "We gave them completely new tools with the latest articulation, so fans can enjoy these classic characters with cutting-edge technology. We've made significant updates beyond just articulation. We learned a lot from our previous Wookiee figures, especially about handling long hair."
Houle continued, "Despite Chewie's long hair, we used softer plastics to allow seamless head movement. For Han, we added articulation to the top of the boot instead of the thigh to keep the red bars on his pants intact. It was crucial to maintain that clean look."

Among the most striking figures is The Ronin, inspired by the "Star Wars: Visions" anime anthology series. The Ronin, a Celebration-exclusive, is a black-and-white figure with the only color being his red katana lightsaber. Both Houle and Reiff emphasized the importance of getting the details right for this special release.
"I love that we stayed true to the design," Houle said. "We drew inspiration from Japanese culture for the packaging, making it premium with magnets, a clean look, and watercoloring. We even hid accessories on the top of the box for a surprise element. Every aspect, from packaging to design and engineering, received meticulous attention."
Reiff added, "We used Japanese language on the exclusive packaging, which we don't normally do. But being in Japan for Celebration, we wanted to fully embrace the culture and create a special package just for this."
Hasbro also unveiled a stunningly detailed Death Trooper helmet for the 1:1 scale Black Series helmet line during their panel.
"It's a fully new tooled helmet for the Black Series Premium roleplay line," Reiff said. "It looks like it's straight out of the movie with weathering and lighting details. You can control the chin lights and spectre sensor lights with a button on the side. We worked closely with Lucasfilm to use original files and nail all the details, adding our own touches to the interior, which the real helmets never had."
