Recursion Unleashed: Triggering Unstoppable Destruction in Marvel Rivals

Author : Audrey Jan 27,2025

Marvel Rivals Season 1 unleashes new characters, maps, and modes, including a fresh challenge set rewarding players with freebies like a Thor skin. This guide focuses on triggering Recursive Destruction in Empire of Eternal Night: Midtown.

What is Recursive Destruction?

The "Blood Moon Over the Big Apple" challenge requires triggering Recursive Destruction. This occurs when destroying a Dracula-influenced object, causing it to reappear in its original state. However, not all objects qualify.

Locating Destructible Objects

To identify eligible objects, utilize Chrono Vision (keyboard "B" or console right D-pad). Only red-highlighted objects trigger Recursive Destruction.

This challenge is exclusive to Quick Match (Midtown). Initially, no red-highlighted objects appear. Wait for the first checkpoint; two buildings will then become highlighted in red, enabling Recursive Destruction.

During gameplay, prioritize targeting these buildings. The chaotic nature of the match might obscure their reappearance, but several hits should suffice. If unsuccessful, simply replay the match. After completing this, subsequent challenges involve trying out Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman.

Marvel Rivals is available now on PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X|S.
