Strategic Use of Tarot Cards

Due to their inherent risk, employing Tarot Cards strategically is crucial. A safe location, such as near a hiding spot or the entrance, is recommended. This allows for a quicker escape if an unfavorable card, like Death, is drawn.

Card Mechanics

Each card triggers an immediate effect. However, The Fool card (a wildcard) produces no effect. Up to 10 cards can be drawn without sanity penalties. Duplicate cards yield identical effects.

Understanding Cursed Possessions in Phasmophobia

Cursed Possessions (or Cursed Objects) are high-risk items randomly appearing in Phasmophobia contracts (depending on difficulty and Challenge Mode). Unlike standard equipment, they offer ghost manipulation but at significant risk to the player. Their use is optional; no penalties exist for avoiding them. Only one spawns per contract (unless adjusted in Custom settings), always in a fixed location. Seven Cursed Objects exist: Haunted Mirror, Voodoo Doll, Music Box, Tarot Cards, Ouija Board, Monkey Paw, and Summoning Circle.
