⚫︎ Speaking to PC Gamer, Ishizaki emphasized that the game’s roguelike mechanics were not added to follow trends, but instead evolved naturally during development. The goal was to condense RPG elements—like exploration, leveling, and progression—into a tighter, more focused loop.

⚫︎ During an interview with Famitsu, Junya Ishizaki shared that Elden Ring: Nightreign will include select enemies from the Dark Souls series. These creatures reflect the chaos brought by the Night King, reinforcing the game’s theme of disruption. Set in a parallel universe, Nightreign gives FromSoftware creative freedom to revisit classic foes.

Additionally, the game features eight distinct playable characters, each with unique abilities and backstories. A new three-day progression system dynamically reshapes the world, introducing evolving events, enemies, and exploration points. Players will also be aided by the Spectral Hawk, a companion designed to reveal shortcuts and assist navigation.
